Who am I?
My interest in animals began long before dog training became my chosen class. As a kid, I was the one rescuing “lost” bugs and closely observing how animals lived and interacted with the world around them. Growing up alongside a menagerie of pets only fueled that curiosity, quietly laying the foundation for a lifelong fascination with animal behavior, learning, and communication.
While attending university, I realized I missed that daily connection with animals and began offering pet care to friends and coworkers. What started as a side quest quickly turned into hands-on experience with real-world problem solving. Through live-in pet sitting and long-term care, I saw how consistency, clear expectations, and intentional choices could dramatically change outcomes. Watching dogs gain confidence and competence over time revealed something important to me: when the mechanics are sound, progress isn’t luck - it’s design.
Today, I’m a Pet First Aid & CPR certified trainer and a Fear-Free Certified Professional. My approach is firmly rooted in science-based, positive reinforcement methods - no aversive tools, ever. I’m deeply committed to continued education, with focused study in canine body language, socialization, and the foundational systems that drive effective training. I treat every dog-and-human team like a unique character build, shaped by stats, environment, and modifiers rather than one-size-fits-all solutions.
Educated through the Victoria Stilwell Academy, I’ve been teaching small group classes since March 2022. I’m known for helping pet parents troubleshoot challenges, adjust variables, and refine their approach without overwhelm. My goal is simple: help people understand the rules of the game, plan thoughtfully, and build partnerships with their dogs that hold up over the long campaign - not just a single encounter.
